FAQS

1) - My cartoons are just meant to be funny, family oriented, in good taste and for everyone's amusement. "Strange Breed" is NEVER meant to degrade anyone, be insulting or be taken seriously. I'm always open to comments, good or bad about my work, as long as it is constructive criticism. 2) - All of my cartoons are copyrighted by me, Steve Langille, including the name "Strange Breed", with the Library of Congress. I do give full liberty to anyone who would like to display my cartoon(s) on thier web site or in their newspaper. But I do require a few things first: "Web Sites" 1) Make sure my cartoon stays the way it is. Make sure the web site's URL, cartoon's name, "Strange Breed" and my name are intact. 2) I also need to know where my cartoon will be at (i.e. web site address). "Newspapers/Newsletters/Magazines" 1) Email me and I will send you paper copies of the orginals. These will not include any info on them (URL or cartoon name), you will need to add that, after you put my cartoon into your newspaper.(URL is negotiable) 2) I also require a copy of every newspaper that my cartoon "Strange Breed" is printed in. I will need this mailed to my house, to be used in my portfolio. Email me for my mailing address. 3) I charge $10 per cartoon. If your paper subscription is FREE and you have a low distribution number, I will be willing to come down on my price, just email me. 4) - To have my cartoons update automatically on your site, click on the following URL or just type it in, all the HTML code you will need is there. Just use your mouse and highlight the HTML code on that page. Do a copy and just paste it to your site. A new cartoon will appear three times a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. I also try to keep with the holiday themes in my cartoons. I never use any dirty, foul or offensive language. I always keep my cartoons clean and for a family audience. If you want to remove my cartoon, from your web site, just delete the HTML code. http://www.strangebreedcartoons.com/htmlcode.htm 5) - I also do illustrations (cartoony and realistic), cartoons, ECards and spot art for web sites and newspapers. They can be in color or black 'n white. These rates are on a per job basis. Please contact me for more info. 6) - Any art purchased from me for publication or web site use will fall into one of two catagories: A) All rights 1. This is where my cartoon logo and url will be removed from the cartoon. Also it can be something I haven't already drawn or an idea from the buyer. 2. The buyer/new owner will receive the orginal inked drawing in the mail and own all rights to it. To do with it however they see fit. 3. This will cost more. Anywhere from $45 - $75 per cartoon or illustration. Depending on the work involved and if it is in color or not. This is negotiable. B) Partial rights 1. Can use my cartoon on another web site for FREE. In a newspaper, please see section #2.(This cost much less) 2. My title, "Strange Breed", web site URL, and my name must stay intact "as is". Also no altering of my cartoon or text in any way. 3. I retain the orginal cartoon and all rights.
